Our Orthopedic Regenerative Medicine program offers unique Stem Cell treatments, harvested from our patients own bone marrow and fat tissue. These types of Stem Cells, called 'MUSE Cells' are our body's reserve Stem Cell supply. We have the technology to isolate these unique and powerful Stem Cells and proliferate (multiply) them. We can then deliver them back to our patients to repair and regenerate diseased joints, tendons, muscles and ligaments. In addition to Stem Cells, we also offer Exosome treatments. Exosomes are the bioactive Stem Cell secretions which can be harvested and used as a powerful Stem Cell based treatment.
At the American Institute of Regenerative Medicine and Surgery (AIRMS) we utilize advanced technology to isolate Growth Factors from our patients blood platelet cells, called 'Platelet Lysate'. This unique and cutting edge process releases all Growth Factors from the platelet cells, unlike Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) which only releases a small number of them. We combined these types of Growth Factors with messenger proteins, called 'Cytokines' to guide the Stem Cells and Growth Factors to the diseased or degenerated tissues.
Biomolecules are an important adjunct to our Stem Cell and Growth Factor based treatments. One of our central biomolecules is Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD), which is a powerful set of molecules, critical to the cell's energy status and function. NAD has the ability to save cells from aging (senescence) and cell death (apoptosis). This is possible due to NAD's unique ability to rescue the function of the cell's energy supply, called 'Mitochondria'. We can deliver NAD into the blood circulation and allow it to seek out cells at risk of cell aging and cell death.
Immunotherapy is a critical subspecialty of Regenerative Medicine in the realm of cancer Immunotherapy, autoimmune disease, and general organic disease. At the AIRMS, we offer adjunctive Immunotherapy treatments as part of the Disease-Specific, Anti-Aging and Peak-Performance Programs.
Gene Therapy and Genetic Engineering are among the most cutting edge fields in Regenerative Medicine, with the promise of eliminating genetic defects involved in heritable disease or genetically based disease. At the AIRMS, we are exploring all options in Genetic Engineering to improve patient outcomes.
Tissue Engineering including the use of Nanotechno can provide answers beyond conventional medicine. The American Institute of Regenerative Medicine and Surgery is incorporating new Tissue Engineering products into treatment protocols.
Our Stem Cell laboratory features the most cutting edge technologies required to safely and predictably isolate, process and multiply Stem Cells. The laboratory is equipped with the latest technologies including Stem Cell incubators, Flow Cytometry, Biocabinets, Centrifuges and much more.
3-D Bioprinting uses an adaption of 3-D printing technology to generate tissue and organs. Rather than ink, 3-D Bioprinters utilize cells and growth factors to create tissue for transplantation. This technology is a cutting edge tool in the research of Regenerative Medicine.
We use the most advanced technology, called 'Flow Cytometry' to visualize and analyze Stem Cells. This technology allows us to determine the types and numbers of specific Stem Cells as well as their viability. Flow cytometry is the gold standard of Stem Cell analysis.
